Book Week Theme Costume or Favourite Book Character?
As the Book Week theme this year is Old worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds, it doesn’t mean the kids necessarily have to choose a costume with this theme, as long as it’s a book character of a book they have read, they will fit right in with the Book Week parade. The most popular Book Week costumes each year are usually The Cat In the Hat along with his rambunctious side kicks Thing 1 & Thing 2. Harry Potter and his friends from the other school houses being Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and the infamous Slytherin house, donning such characters as Professor Snape, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and Luna Lovegood. With so many characters in the umpteen amount of episodes, the choices of characters is endless. Alice in Wonderland with it’s many characters such as the White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and her Card Soldiers. Don’t forget the king of Hearts too, who always gets overlooked, especially by the Queen of Hearts herself haha. Poor ole King! Roald Dahl Book characters are always popular too including The Fantastic Mr Fox, Matilda, the BFG (he’s my favourite), Charlie Bucket, you know, from Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and the funny little Oompa Loompas.
